The EX app allows you to:
Easily reserve seats on the Shinkansen with the app.

Key characteristics
- Registration for membership
Purchase a ticket or reserve a seat (simple free seat reservation, train name designation, time designation)
Verify the reservation
Modify and reimburse the reservation (by lowering the number of attendees)
Show the receipt and purchase history.
Verify and update member data
Show the QR code for the boarding ticket.
Assign or register an IC card for the purpose of boarding.

To use this app, you must first register as a member. Personal details including the member’s name, birthdate, and a valid credit card are needed for registration.
The credit card linked to the account will be used to pay for the reservation or ticket purchase.
To travel without a ticket when using public transportation, you must register or designate your IC card (*).

To pick up tickets from ticket vending machines, etc., at Tokaido Sanyo Kyushu Shinkansen key stations, including Tokyo, Kyoto, and Shin-Osaka, you must have the pickup code.
